TIPS & HACKS

Here are a few basic tips you might just not have thought of:

Create a “to do” schedule (book the kennels, arrange last clean, etc.) and a “to buy” list (box tape, permanent marker, bubble wrap etc.)
Number every box and put the room it needs to be delivered to i.e. “1 kitchen”
Have a list in a book with each box number and items that are in that box
Pack least used items first (this can be done months before the move)
Put heavy items such as plates in smaller boxes and light items such as linen in the large boxes
Use empty suitcases for the things you will need first in your new home
Pack charging devices last
Declutter - Do not pack anything you don’t want or need
Leave clothes on hangers and wrap bundles in a sheet
Take pictures of box contents
Keep important items off the moving truck
Ask for help and accept that stress is a normal part of the moving process
